This woman won't stop recreating celebrity Instagram pictures to show how ridiculous they are

Australian comedian Celeste Barber got the whole world laughing last year thanks to her brilliant recreations of celebrity Instagram shots which showed just how ridiculous they really are.

Celeste said at the time:

People are so obsessed with celebrities and celebrities seem to be so obsessed with portraying everyday people... I thought, right, if this is what everyone does — challenge accepted.

Using the hashtag #celestechallengeaccepted, she set out on a project mocking the cult of celebrity we can't escape even when we try.

A year on, her account is getting funnier and funnier; in particular, she's highlighted the weird trend of bathroom pictures which we can only assume started with Kim Kardashian.

Imitation is supposedly the sincerest form of flattery. But in these cases, we're not so sure - and since we doubt celebrities are going to stop taking vain half-naked shots in the near future, there will be plenty more source material for Celeste to work with:
