Lisa Kudrow has revealed that her son once thought that Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston was his mother.

In an interview with Conan O’Brien on Wednesday, she explained that her son Julian, who’s now 23, was quite young while Friends was originally on the air in the 90s and early 00s, and would sometimes visit the set.

It seems that Aniston made quite the impression on young Julian as he even thought she was his mum at one point.

“He got a little confused,” host O’Brien said. “I know that he really was obsessed with Jen.”

Kudrow replied: “He’d fly into her lap. Well, she’s a lovebug, and that made sense.

“And I was always glad for anyone that Julian felt love for and felt from.”

The attachment to Aniston didn’t end on set either, said Kudrow. “At home, she’d be on TV, and he’d go, ‘Mommy!’” she laughed.

Julian was actually on the show, in a way. Kudrow was pregnant with her son in season four, which led to the plotline about Phoebe carrying her brother’s triplets.

Last week, Julian celebrated his 23rd birthday, and his mum posted a rare picture of him to her 7.5 million followers to wish him well.

We presume he’s no longer confused, now he’s an adult and all.

Aniston left a comment to wish him a happy birthday, she wrote: “Feels like yesterday that you arrived.”

Kudrow said her son has not seen all the episodes of the popular TV series.

“I know he hasn’t seen every episode,” said Kudrow. “I know for a while, in school, people were watching it. And he kind of felt like he had to, so that he can participate in what everyone else was watching. And he did really think that everybody else was very funny on the show.”

Well, he’d better start binge watching as the long-awaited Friends reunion premieres on May 27.
