Apparently you can wind Donald Trump up by simply calling him a Nickelback fan

ICYMI, Nickelback has been the literal worst for quite a while now. But then, so has Donald Trump.

One person decided to show the two deserve each other at one of the Republican presidential candidate's latest rallies on Friday in South Carolina:

And it didn't take long for one of Trump's staffers to try and contain the situation.

Trump is far from the first politician to be trolled for a suspected love of world's worst band, Nickelback.

In 2012 someone protesting education cuts showed their dislike of Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel with a 'RAHM EMANUEL LIKES NICKELBACK' sign.

A spokersperson for the mayor's office denied the allegation.
