A Peruvian man has married a tree for the second time at a national park near Bogota, Colombia in an attempt to raise awareness for environmental issues.
Richard Torres was joined by a small gathering of friends and family as he tied the knot with his "spouse" while children placed ceremonial fruit offerings at the base of the tree.
The activist and actor said he hoped the ceremony would bring attention to man-made environmental problems and asked the rebels from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia to change from making war to planting trees.
Torres says that he now intends to take his message of saving the environment to other Latin American countries - his first marriage to a tree took place in Buenos Aires last year.
