The most confusing, and rude, road names in the world

Porter’s Lake must dislike visitors, if their road names are anything to go by.

Journalist Simon Ricketts recently noticed the street names of the suburb in Nova Scotia, which seem designed purely for confusion.

The suburb is home to just over 3,000 people, some of whom have also pointed out that Post Office Road doesn’t actually host the towns’ post office - it’s on Keizer Drive.

What. Madness. Is. This.

The original tweet started a brief thread of humourous road names, so let’s digress…

Just imagine having to relate a brief journey on the roads in the town surrounding the Quad Safari Park in Austria.

The town’s colourful name lead to common thefts of road signs for many years, and in 2004, a vote was held as to whether the village's name should be changed. Residents chose to keep the 800-year-old name.

Meanwhile, a trip to Wurst Haus in Texas could be confusing…

…whereas this hamlet in Dorset probably gets a few giggly tourists every year...

..as does this site of special scientific interest in Greater Manchester, we imagine.

Last of all, this town in Norway, must just be the worst.
