On Wednesday, Good Morning America played host to a heartwarming reunion between two women, who just happened to be identical twin sisters.
10 year olds Audrey Doering of Wisconsin and Gracie Rainsberry of Washington had been separated at birth, and adopted by their respective families.
They were brought back together when Audrey's mother Jennifer was investigating her daughter's past.
According to People, Jennifer came across a photo of newborn Audrey, sitting side by side with another baby.
As soon as I had that picture, I was desperate to find out who that other child was.
Jennifer found Gracie's mother through social media, and a DNA test confirmed they were identical twins with 100 per cent certainty.
Gracie and Audrey first spoke through video chat, where they learned they had much in common, despite being raised thousands of kilometres apart.
Appearing on the show, Gracie told the audience:
We both love chicken Alfredo. That’s like one of our favourite foods... And we both love mac ‘n’ cheese.
In addition, both girls suffer from serious heart condition, and both have undergone heart surgery at least once.
Audrey and Gracie were gifted plane tickets by Expedia.com so that they can travel and meet up more often.
While they were in New York to appear on Good Morning America, they were also given tickets to see School of Rock on Broadway and dinner at Planet Hollywood.
Host Ginger Zee tweeted this from the studio.
