Tory activist drinks far too much at conference, gets £311 Uber back to London

A Conservative activist got so drunk at the Tory party Conference in Manchester he spent £311 on an Uber ride back to London.

The activist, who spoke to Buzzfeed on the grounds that he would not be named (completely understandable and probably for the best) said:

Well you know what a drunken night out is like! I’m 19 years old and intend to enjoy my youth.

He added he wouldn't be making the journey back up to Manchester for the final two days of the event.

I really can’t afford a tube journey now never mind a journey to Manchester.
