Let's be honest, Tinder can get a bit samey - it's an endless stream of fairly generic profiles. People looking attractive in their holiday snaps, having fun on nights out, and for some reason listing their Spotify anthem as Look What You Made Me Do.
In order to get dates, you need to charm people as quickly as possible - which had lead some folk to creating imaginative and hilarious bios.
But Darren Go, a 20-year-old college student in Malaysia, decided to go to a very dark place with his profile.
This is his Tinder page:
And when someone shared a screenshot of it online, it went a bit viral.
Go told BuzzFeed:
Having a 'normal,' 'civilized,' and 'pretty' bio didn't work, [so] why not try something different? .
So, I thought of using my dark humor and love for puns to try and find like-minded people.
The picture was taken in 2012, Go told BuzzFeed, when he had heart surgery.
He said:
One of [my friends] suggested that I should put it as my Tinder bio to gain some sympathy points.
So I thought I would give it a shot since my normal bios aren't working anyway.
And it was semi successful...
I did get many matches, but most of them just matched with me to ask me why I'm disrespecting myself or to just laugh and provide more puns. I'm still single and very available
But while he's had a lukewarm reception on Tinder, Go's a hit online.
And thankfully, Go has confirmed:
