A hair and makeup artist in New Zealand has hit back at people who accused her of faking weight loss photos, by showing the reality of excess skin.

Simone Pretscherer initially posted on Instagram a selfie showing her body transformation after a strict weight loss and workout programme:

Pretscherer received praise for her achievement, but also accusations she had faked the photos.

Trolls accused her of doctoring the 'after' picture and declared it a fake, citing the different shade of her hair and her lack of excess skin as "evidence."

In a flawless response she bravely addressed the trolls by posting an image of her excess skin from the weight loss. And owned it.

She said in the post:

Throughout my whole journey I have tried to be so honest about the whole experience and tell people it exactly as it's happened so to be called a fake hurt a lot.

Yes I have loose skin and stretch marks but I don't feel the need to show them in every single photo I post online, I have shared my excess skin picture before so if you had bothered to click on my page you would have seen it.

She also discredited the trolls' ‘evidence’:

Yes my hair and eyebrows are a different colour as I'm going back to blonde.

The 24-year-old is raising funds for surgery to remove her excess skin. She has 106 donors and counting.

I am now looking into surgery to get the excess skin removed so I can start to live in my 24 year old body I have worked so hard to get back.

More power to you, Simone.
