This T-shirt will almost definitely help you avoid sexual harassment

Politicians in Missouri were widely criticised this week after suggesting implementing a 'modest' dress code for interns to prevent them being sexually harassed and assaulted.

The state legislature had been brainstorming ideas to combat discrimination claims after several high profile sexual harassment cases, when Republican bright spark Nick King came up with this idea in an email:

We need a good, modest, conservative dress code for both the males and females... Removing one more distraction will help everyone keep their focus on legislative matters.

He was quickly hounded on social media by Democrats and sceptical citizens.

The suggestion was ultimately rejected - but not before T-shirt company RayGun had helpfully created a new design for their range which should help iron things out once and for all:

Modest and forthright: now we're talking.

In a blog post accompanying the T-shirt, which comes in a unisex fit and costs $21, the creators wrote:

If ladies working in government don't want sexual attention from elected officials, they need to really spell it out.

Without rules like this, more extreme measures will need to be taken: like expecting elected officials and men in general not act like sleazy f--king assholes.

Good point, beautifully made.
