This monkey selfie did not go as planned

In 2014 it is no longer acceptable to simply take a photo of nature or to ask someone else to take it for you: The selfie has become the method of choice to capture any precious moment.

And while this craze has led to a scourge of vain celebrity selfies, embarrassing politician selfies and people calling photos selfies even when they are not selfies, the craze has also given us some gems like this one from Reddit user ThatGuy1331 whose friend took the above series of photos on holiday in Bali.

Monkeys apparently do not like people taking selfies.
