Room was nice, the minimalistic idea was a nice touch. It was secure and safe... Quadruple glazing and security door. Ideal place for winding down after a hard day.
While the prison cell seemed cosy enough, the breakfast looked unsavoury, to say the least.
It's the all day breakfast that lets it down really.
Overall though, he is impressed with the service.
I've given this place 4 stars. Apart from that the staff are pleasant enough. Had my own on-suite room and butler... Who would come with tea and newspapers. I'd definitely come back.
The post garnered over 4,000 shares, and reactions have ranged from amused to baffled to ‘How did he manage to smuggle a phone into a prison cell?’ (Apparently it was an iPad, but the question remains valid).
Humberside Police confirmed that the prison ‘suite’ was one of their own.
Asked to comment, Humberside Police told BBC:
We take any such breach of security and detainee safety extremely seriously and will be carrying out a review of our detainee management to identify and lessons learned and prevent further reoccurrence in the future.
We might as well add 'Four-Star prison service' to the tourist brochure.
