Bathers at Takhini Hotel Pools in Yukon, Canada, have been participating in its annual hair freezing competition.
The contest is held every February at the dead of winter and the rules are simple enough: those brave enough to brace the -22C temperatures outside are invited to take a dip in the 36-42C springs and see what happens to their hair.
Then they post a picture to the springs' Facebook wall for judgement, and the winner makes $150 cash.
