This couple saved Back to the Future Day for everyone

We all knew it was inevitable.

While October 21st 2015 is a date that Back to the Future II fans have been looking forward to ever since Marty McFly stepped into a Delorean, countless brands and politicians have come along to ruin it.

The Department for Work and Pensions even decided today would be a great time to reveal their new pensions mascot monstrosity, 'Workie'.

And David Cameron well and truly confirmed the day was ruined with a a terrible joke at PMQs.

But wait! There's hope yet!

Ben Millar of York snapped a picture of family and friends who appeared to be celebrating a couple tying the knot in York city centre.

They've got a Delorean for their wedding car and a replica of the time machine clock. And the sun even came out for this photo opportunity.

Gay marriage: well done, future.
