When you think about it, Batman really does kill a lot of people

Part of Batman's appeal is that he's a lone wolf fighting the forces of avarice and evil.

Although, if you look at it from the police's perspective, he's a dangerous armed vigilante:

What's more, law enforcement in Gotham definitely has a point when you tot up Batman's kill count in all the movies to date, as the good folk over at Sploid did recently.

While the recent reboot of the series has clearly tried to keep the death count down, rather a lot of people have met their maker via Batman's gloved hands over the years.
