You're probably aware that an amendment to the Finance Bill to end the five per cent 'luxury' tax on tampons failed in the House of Commons this week, despite Labour MP Stella Creasy's best efforts.
The vote narrowly failed, which is surprising, considering the tax is totally arbitrary. There's just no way to justify a levy imposed solely on menstruating women - especially when men's razors, crocodile meat and Jaffa Cakes are all classed as 'essential'.
While the tampon tax is sticking around for the time being, MPs in favour of abolishing it have promised to raise the issue at the EU level.
And in the meantime, women on the internet are proving not only are they going to keep campaigning, they have a sense of humour too.
Periods are, after all, a treat we only get to have once a month.
There's nothing quite like a luxurious tampon at the end of a long day.
It's important to be good to yourself.
Payday yaaaas.
They really do add a touch of class to any outfit.
They aren't called pearls for nothing, after all.
Come on, ladies. Some things in life are worth paying for.
