A psychology student has shared a life hack to stop colleagues stealing your food at work, which has brought much-needed hilarity to the internet.

“So my mom saw that her eggs were missing at work so she posted this note,” a Twitter user named Kojo said. “Later some white dude came to her stressed af for the antidote thinking he was going to die. ngl this is genius.”

He then shared a photo of a sign his mum had created, to deter people from stealing her food.

It said: “Attention Attention Attention! To Whom It May Concern: I had a carton of eggs in the fridge and it’s gone! Who ever took the eggs please know that those eggs are not chicken eggs and are not meant for consumption.

“If you have not consumed them please discard but if you have please see me for the antidote. They are eggs from a rare bird in Africa. Thank you! Ama.”

At the time of writing, Kojo’s tweet has been liked over 200,000 times.

One person commented: “I woulda taken it further... made him drink some mad concoction after he confessed and then been like ‘only joking’.”

Another questioned: “What relevance is the colour of his skin?”

Someone else responded, saying: “Because white people always touching shit that don’t belong to them! Duh.”

One woman shared her own similar story, tweeting: “I’d had a baby and everyone at work knew I pumped for him. People kept stealing my cream so one day I posted a note saying that whoever was taking cream from x bottle was using my breast milk for their coffee as I used it for storing. Never happened again.”

Likewise, another said: “Lmao I left a note on the fridge at work one day after someone ate my lunch that if they did it again I’m going to throw away everyone food in the fridge and EVERYONE will be hungry moving forward.”

@_mekeyy asked: “LOLOLOL. What did she give him as an “antidote?”

Kojo replied: “After he confessed, he is paying her back for the eggs.”

One woman added: “Haha this is iconic. Please greet Aunty for me and tell her I’m her biggest fan.”

Someone else commented: “How are people still eating food that does not belong to them in 2021?????”

Curlie Chisholm said: “Im crying laughing . He was in his office STRESSED after eating those eggs.”

Kojo later commented: “This taking off so moral of the story, don’t touch what’s not yours!!!

“My mother is cracking up and appreciates all your positive comments towards her she’s glad most people could have a good laugh.”
