These are Britain's most sexually curious cities

A survey of 2,000 young people has found the UK's most sexually adventurous cities.

The company ONE Condoms, which sells what you think it would, surveyed 18-24 year olds from 50 British towns and cities about how they'd describe themselves and their sex lives.

ONE Condoms' ambassador, and registered couple's counsellor Annabelle Knight told Metro:

If you’re exploring your sexuality and expressing yourself sexually, it’s critical that you’re doing it because you want to, not feeling peer pressured into anything.

Not only do you need to protect yourself from STIs but you need to protect yourself emotionally.

It’s always a good idea to make sure that you are as sexually curious as your partner. 

If it’s a no from one of you, it has to be a no from both of you!

The findings of the survey may take some by surprise.

London doesn't even make the top five.

Hull is the capital of sexual adventure and curiosity

• Hull - 77 per cent
• Plymouth - 68 per cent
• Newcastle, Newport - 66 per cent
• Dundee, Exeter, Norwich - 63 per cent
• Middlesborough, Northampton, Sheffield - 61 per cent

The city describing themselves as least sexually adventurous was Sunderland, with just 16.7 per cent claiming to embrace curiosity.

Joining them at the bottom of the list was:

• Cambridge - 28 per cent
• York - 31 per cent
• Wrexham - 38 per cent
• Lisburn, Peterborough, Walsall - 33 per cent

Sin cities

The survey also found the top cities for certain kinks:

Blackpool is the city for al fresco. The survey found 66 per cent of people were interest in having sex outside.

Dundee was the top city for BDSM, with 88 per cent up for trying masochism and 77 per cent sadism.

Sunderland (despite their lack self described 'adventure'), had the highest number of people willing to make a sex tape with their partner.
