A TikTok has gone viral after appearing to show a rat running through the clothing bins at a thrift store.
The video, which has been viewed over 3 million times, was posted by TikTok user @avenue.eleven who captured the shocking footage.
In the video, a rat can be seen jumping and running through clothing in large blue bins to evade capture.
The text overlaying the footage read: “Go to the Goodwill bins they said. It’ll be fun they said.”
The rat managed to keep from being caught by hopping between three different bins as onlookers and people who appeared to be staff attempted to catch it.

In the background, more onlookers can be heard screaming and laughing.
While it’s hoped the rat was eventually caught, the 21-second clip seems to have already scarred some TikTok users and prompted a warning to wash thrifted clothes before wearing them.
One person wrote: “THIS IS WHY I CAN’T TRY STUFF ON AT THRIFT STORES. IT HAS TO BE WASHED FIRST.”
Another said: “[That’s] why I do not go there. Make sure you wash everything before wearing.”
Others found humour in the situation, joking that the rat was just there to thrift like everyone else.
Someone joked: “Bro was just trying to shop too SMH.”
