In an attempt to make us more aware of how many calories we're drinking (and possibly in an attempt to push us weeping into the arms of Dry January), the Local Government Association has created a handy guide which compares beverages to burgers.

The LGA has found that many people don't know how many calories are in our favourite drink, though anyone who's tried to do their jeans up after the last month would probably disagree...

The association is now calling for calorie information to be placed on alcoholic drinks, so you can kiss goodbye to blissful ignorance.
