Looking for a way to entertain yourself over the holidays? A board game? Cards? Or how about a puzzle?
Well, YouTuber David Dobrik is now offering not just any puzzle: in a recent giveaway, the influencer released a “Hundred Thousand Dollar Puzzle”. The black and green 500-piece puzzle – that when completed looks is a huge QR code – costs $30, according to his website.
According to the site's FAQ page, puzzle orders will start shipping the week of December 21, though that may change due to the pandemic. The rules state that the game ends on March 31 of next year.
“You can either win or win,” the website says. “Winnings are between 25 cents and $100,000”.
Once you scan the ‘puzzle’ code you'll be directed to a site to process a verification code, and then you’ll see if you’re the lucky grand prize winner.
Dobrick, who has 18 million subscribers on YouTube and 14 million Instagram followers, seems to have a thing for giveaways. Most recently he gave followers a chance to win a new Tesla.
The 24-year-old became famous through the platform Vine before transitioning over his following over to YouTube. Earlier this year, the Wall Street Journaldescribed to him as, “Gen Z’s Jimmy Fallon”.
So for those with both a penchant for solving puzzles, and a love of playing the lottery, this might be your moment.
