Police search for man 'locked in a tent bag' by his friends at T in the Park

There were shambolic scenes at T in the Park in Scotland overnight, where heavy rain and subsequent mud made leaving the festival's new site of Strathallan Castle in Perthshire a nightmare.

One reveller really took the biscuit for heinous post-festival Mondays though, having apparently been packed into a tent bag "for a joke".

It isn't yet clear whether the man is joking as he has posted no updates, but police are taking the matter seriously:

Police Scotland's entire Twitter feed has been given over to T in the Park this morning, where traffic is building up and minibuses are stuck in ditches.

Scott's tweet came in response to a tweet about the delays by the festival, so hopefully this was just a gag and he's OK – we'll keep you posted on any updates on #freescottjohnson.

The Daily Record says Scott told them he tweeted that "for a laugh" and actually left the festival on Sunday.
