You're never too old for puppy love.
Seventy-six-year-old Sir Patrick Stewart can attest to this fact.
On Wednesday the Logan star welcomed a foster dog - Ginger - into his LA home and began sharing videos on social media.
People on the internet simply can't deal with it.
Sir Patrick was filmed by his wife, Sunny Ozell, meeting his new four-legged friend who they are fostering until she finds a permanent home.
He captioned the video to his 4 million followers:
Thanks to ASPCA and Wags and Walks, Sunny Ozell and I are finally fostering our 1st pitbull!
Meet Ginger. I'm in LOVE. #AdoptDontShop#pitbullsofinstagram #pitbulls
Ever since, Sir Pat and his wife can't stop sharing videos of the rescue pitbull.
Appearing on US talk show Conan, the Star Trek star said that Ginger - a former breeding dog for a pitbull fighting ring - was his first dog in 50 years.
Stewart partnered with the ASPCA and the Los Angeles nonprofit Wags and Walks to foster Ginger while she waits to be adopted to a permanent home.
In a subreddit created yesterday to celebrate Ginger and Pat's relationship, fans have speculated that he will end up adopting Ginger.
Fans have also taken to twitter sharing their admiration for Ginger.
D'awww.
