As technology evolves, it’s inevitable that some lucky chancers will use it to outwit us.
One of the latest examples of the march of technology is an unsuspecting mum, who was left $250 worse off after her daughter hacked into her phone.
While her mum, Bethany Howell, was napping, six-year-old Ashlynd took her phone and used it to buy herself 13 Pokémon-themed presents on Amazon.
Howell told the Daily Mail her phone was on the coffee table next to the couch when she fell asleep.
Her quick-thinking daughter used her mum’s thumb to unlock the phone, which had a fingerprint ID lock. Clever.
When discovered, Ashlynd told her mum not to worry because she had entered the right delivery address.
Her mum was only allowed to return four of the items, so presumably it was a very happy Christmas Ashlynd.
Howell posted on Facebook that Ashlynd's "funny story" had made news:
We all know which Team Ashlynd is joining when she grows up.
