As unbelievable as it might sound, owls can swim — and they kind of look like floppy moths whilst doing it.
In a rare video, a snowy owl can be seen doing butterfly stroke towards the shore of Lake St. Clair which runs between Ontario and Michigan.
Owls can't fly whilst their feathers are wet, so the bird hops on land to dry off before taking flight.
They usually only use their ability to swim when finding themselves in water accidentally, as it strips their ability to fly away if threatened.
The video was shared by the Macomb County Sherrif's Office who said they often see the owl in the area.
People had no idea owls could swim before seeing the video.
And couldn't resist weighing in with Dad jokes.
The more you know.
