Navigating the tumultuous realm of dating apps can be exhausting. For one TikToker, it was a downright nightmare - especially after she matched with the police officer who she says maced her at a Black Lives Matter protest last summer. User @camidoublewami shared the story on her TikTok page Wednesday, receiving 2.4 million views in the process.
Set to the eerie theme from Psycho, the video opens with a text overlay of the cop’s Hinge profile, following the direct message conversation between him and Cami.

“Cop who maced me last summer really liked me on Hinge,” the overlay reads. The officer in question is seen in the background, thoroughly tattooed and posing in front of a mirror in uniform. According to his profile, the officer is a 22-year-old, 5’9 cop from Fargo, North Dakota.
To add insult to injury, the cop also made certain to include he’s a “conservative.”

Nothing screams romance quite like a conservative police officer matching with the woman he allegedly maced during a BLM protest.
Cami’s face looks horrified as it hovers in front of the green screen, showcasing the officer’s introductory message: “Hey dream girl.”
Cami responded in the most iconic way, writing: “You were the one who maced me at the BLM rally right?” The video abruptly ends there, and while there wasn’t a follow-up, Cami did mention in the comments how the officer responded to her direct message.
“I don’t feel like making another video Bc it’s not worth it so pt 2 he said: You know it,” she wrote.
Cami also explained she was banned from posting and therefore was unable to post the entire conversation. But something tells us this particular match wasn’t one made in heaven.
