Mystery green creature emerges from the sea, horrifies internet

This somewhat horrifying footage comes to us from Taiwan.

Overall the reaction has mainly been one of 'what the hell is that?'.

According to the Telegraph, the creature could be a ribbon worm, or Nemertea, which normally lives underwater but can also be found in cool, damp places. That pink appendage is probably its proboscis, which it uses for hunting.

This photo makes it quite conclusive.

Yuck.
