People on the internet want to remind you Mitt Romney once ironed his clothes while still wearing them

Mitt Romney kicked off 2019 with a controversial op-ed for The Washington Post, in which he criticised Donald Trump’s leadership.

He said the US president caused dismay around the world, and added:

The world is also watching. Trump’s words and actions have caused dismay around the world.

[Trump’s policies] are divisive, racist, sexist, anti-immigrant, dishonest or destructive to democratic institutions.

The senator for Utah raised many eyebrows for his scathing words, which highlighted the pair’s tumultuous relationship, and many pointed out that he’d criticised Trump before, only to have taken a dinner and a photo opportunity not long after.

It is with this in mind that people on the internet unearthed a clip of Romney ironing his clothes… while still wearing them.

The clip comes from a 2013 Netflix documentary on the former presidential candidate.

This is seriously a thing that he did.
