Despite being your favourite spot for a 3am burger, McDonald’s are actually kid and family-oriented, so a NSFW mix-up is a PR nightmare for the fast food chain.
Still, that’s exactly what they’ve got on their hands with McFizz. The drinks, which are for sale in Japan and other international branches, are what you’d expect: fun, colourful, full of sugar.
But it’s the cups that are causing a stir on Twitter – the cute designs show a boy on one side of the clear cup and a girl on the other, so when the drink is finished with it looks as if the boy and girl are sharing a little peck. Innocent enough!
However, when the drinks are tilted just slightly, things get fairly NSFW. Well...really NSFW.
The drinks are still for sale, for now anyway, and maybe we’ll leave it up to you to decide what the cups appear to depict.
The below tweets show one intrepid user exploring what the cups look like from all angles, and reader, it’s not looking good for whoever is responsible for the design... Still, all PR is good PR, right?
