Marmite - you either love it, or you hate it. And, if you are one of those unusual folks who love it, then you've come to the right place because this article will blow your mind.

We've all been there when we're attempting to spread some of the delicious spread onto our toast, however it's difficult to get to the bottom of the jar to get the last little bits of thick paste that stick to its bottom.

Now, however, fear not, as the secret to getting the last little bits has been revealed, and it might not be what you expected, reports the Metro.

In case you weren't aware the delicious jars of yeast spread have flat sides, so that when you start to run low, you can place them on their sides in the cupboard, so that all the spread runs to the side and is easy to scoop out. Amazing!

The incredible hack was spotted by Twitter user John, who posted it to his social media account. In a tweet, he wrote:

It took me years to realise that near-empty Marmite jars should be kept on their side so you can the last of it out more easily. That’s why the jar is flat is the sides.

Wow, suddenly it all starts to make sense...

Other social media users were equally blown away by the discovery.
