Fox News anchor mocks Biden’s stutter at Town Hall and people were appalled

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham of The Ingraham Angle mocked Joe Biden’s stutter during his Town Hall on Wednesday, and even acknowledged that she would “get into trouble for this.”

Talking about the CNN event in Ohio, Ingraham asked fellow presenter Raymond Arroyo for his opinions on Biden’s performance at the event.

Arroyo said Biden told a bunch of “old stories” and rehashed some old campaign lines. Then, the network decided to show a series of edited clips that zero in on Biden’s hesitation and stumbled answers to questions.

Once the montage was over, Arroyo said that the situation “was a disaster” and referred to CNN anchor Don Lemon who hosted as being “dumped” with Biden’s campaign slogans.

Ingraham decided to take a different route as she said, “He did like to say a lot, ‘seriously, I’m serious’” before she mimicked a stutter.

Arroyo interjected and said: “These are little crutches when he can’t quite recall, or he is having difficulties.”

Afterwards, Ingraham continued to speak, as she mockingly stuttered over the word ‘look’ while adding, “I’m going to get myself in trouble here, Raymond.”

“This town hall was almost like a coming attractions reel for Walt Disney Company,” Arroyo said in response to Ingraham. “They are giving the public their first glimpse of their new animatronic Joe Biden,” he continued to say mockingly.

Nikki McCann Ramirez, a researcher for Media Matters for America, shared a clip of the segment to her Twitter, which prompted users to criticise Ingraham.

“Does she raise her kids that way? That’s it’s ok to mock ppl? Are they learning how to socialize from her? Maybe she just lets her kids hang out with Tucker and Sean’s kids,” someone wrote.

“Tucker move over. Karen Laura Ingraham has arrived,” another added.

Biden has been open about having a stutter since childhood, telling a town hall last year: “It has nothing to do with your intelligence quotient. It has nothing to do with your intellectual makeup.”

Speaking on policy, Biden also outlined a timeframe at the town hall hosted at Mount Saint Joseph University on Wednesday for when he anticipates the Covid-19 vaccine for children under 12.

He also spoke on the QAnon conspiracy group, adding, “The kinds of things that are being said of late … this is not who we are.”
