It's nice to be nice - that's a fact.

It can feel great to reward good service with a generous tip, but Russian mum Olesya Shemyakova recently left a more generous tip than she had intended at a kebab shop in Zurich.

A lot more generous, in fact.

LadBible reports that Shemyakova had, perhaps unexpectedly, been enjoying chocolate cake and drinks with her son and a colleague while visiting Swiss city Dietikon. She opted to pay by card but explained her PIN code didn't work, so she tried it again - before realising a grave mistake.

It turns out she had misunderstood card reader instructions due to the German language barrier and mistakenly keyed in her PIN code as a tip amount.

Kebab shop owner Cengiz Gokduman has since promised she will receive a full refund and admits being surprised that the payment was even accepted.

Shemyakova, who is currently unemployed, has since stated how much she needs the money back but claims she has been met with "empty promises."

Here's hoping her mistake gets rectified.
