Fancy a change in career? Well now, Kate Middleton and Prince William are on the hunt for a new personal assistant at their Kensington Palace home.
The search kickstarted last week after an advertisement was posted on Daybook looking for a full-time “experienced PA” who will provide comprehensive administrative support to the royal couple’s busy team.
The successful candidate will manage diaries, arrange meetings, organise and assist with visits, events and travel, assumingly for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They will also be required to handle telephone calls and regularly draft letters and emails.
They must have “impeccable IT skills and a proactive approach” along with “excellent organisation and communication skills.”
And of course, “the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times is essential” – the role is working for royals, after all.

Added bonus, it has been reported that Kate is well-liked by her employees, according to royal expert Neil Sean.
“What she does do is that members of her staff, if you’ve got an idea or a suggestion, she takes it up. She thanks you,” Sean said, according to Express. “Not that other members of the family are not friendly or anything like that but this is sort of a pare down approach compared to the more stiff, formal approach of courtiers and staff.”
“Kate is very good at making you feel very comfortable. More importantly, I think that’s why her staff have stuck around a long time. She knows how to manage her staff and, more importantly, they like her, which is a brilliant and positive result”, Sean added.
While there’s no closing date on the advertisement, we can imagine that between royal duties and caring for their three children, they’ll need someone pretty soon. If this sounds like your cup of tea, get applying!
