Jeremy Corbyn's trip to Manchester to celebrate Andy Burnham's victory was its own little tragedy

You know that feeling when you show up unexpectedly to catch up with an old mate and they've got better things to do?

The Labour leader travelled to Manchester (On a booked seat this time we hope) to celebrate Andy Burnham's victory as mayor of Greater Manchester.

Well, that's a bit embarrassing.

But Burnham wasn't the only absentee. Labour MP Lucy Powell wasn't invited either:
