Jeff Bezos greeted by confused classroom full of teenagers who have no clue who he is

In a glorious moment straight out of Alan Partridge, video footage has emerged of Jeff Bezos visiting a high school where the students clearly have no idea who he is.

The founder, CEO, and president of Amazon is one of the world’s wealthiest people but that’s not enough to make him a household name outside of his own household.

In the footage, which has gone viral, the 55-year-old enters the classroom much to the delight of the teacher in charge once she’s informed by the guest, “I’m Jeff Bezos” (eerily close to I’m Alan Partridge, incidentally).

The teenagers, despite the enthusiasm of their educator, seem apathetic at best with some simply continuing to work on their computers while Bezos addresses them.

The people of Twitter delighted in the awkwardness.
