It's probably worth changing to the American date system just for this

Fans of quirky dates will know the last date that could be written the same when back-to-front was on 21/02/2012.

But Americans, who write their dates with the month first rather than the day of the month, don't have to wait until February 2, 2020 (2/2/2020) for the next palindrome date.
