Gareth Southgate tube sign torn down by woman in viral video

Gareth Southgate has experienced a devastating loss - and we're not talking about England's World Cup semi-final defeat to Croatia.

Southgate tube station, officially renamed as 'Gareth Southgate' in tribute to the Three Lions' surprise success at the World Cup, went viral all over again after a woman was filmed tearing down a sign at the station.

The sign was due to come down last night, but a TfL spokesperson confirmed to the Evening Standardthat the woman was not staff and did not have permission to take it down.

People were furious at the woman's behaviour.
