Gangnam Style, the magnum opus of K-pop sensation Psy, has garnered so many views on YouTube that the Google-owned video site has had to upgrade its system.
In a short statement on Google+ the company explained: "We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY."
Because integers are commonly stored in binary, the video has been viewed so many times that YouTube's 32-bit integer effectively ran out of characters.
You can now hover over the counter on Psy's video to see the digits spin around (as above) and show what would presumably have happened if they hadn't updated to a 64-bit integer system.
