Floss dancing is now helping the LGBT+ community. We bet you've never read that sentence before.

Yes, the bizarre dancing trend - which has confused parents everywhere, spawning several guides - has reemerged after its peak in popularity last year, when creator of the dance 'backpack kid' got into the groove on Saturday Night Live.

People are nominating others to strut their stuff under the hashtag #FlossWithPride, all with the aim of raising money for anti-bullying equality charity Diversity Role Models, which seeks to prevent homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying in UK schools.

Plenty of celebrities got in the groove.

Hey there, Stacey Solomon.

And Coronation Street's Charlie Condou encouraged others to throw down their best floss.

Actor Denise Welsh was early to the scene.

Actor and model Rachel Shelley even added a streamer.

Campaigners got involved too.

Married couple Jake Graf, a trans filmmaker, and Hannah Winterbourne, the highest ranking trans soldier in the British army, attempted the move.

Author Scott McGlynn, who was bullied in school for being gay, got flossing too.

Unfortunately, one celebrity took things a little literally.

It's the thought that matters.
