A young couple chose a moonlit woodland as the perfect romantic spot for their engagement photoshoot... at the very same time a black metal band chose to use it for their album cover.
On Sunday, John Awesome (quite frankly the best name under the sun) and Nydia Hernandez, from California, went to Holy Jim Canyon to shoot their engagement snaps.
Little did they, or wedding photographers Wheeland know, but the black metal band Coldvoid were lurking in the woods.

Well, not lurking, they were there to use the full moon that evening as a backdrop in the promotional photos for their upcoming album.
Awesome told ABC News
During the last part of the session, we noticed a few guys with some corpse paint makeup on sitting at a nearby bench blaring out some black metal music

He then recounts how they decided to invite the band into the frame.
We just randomly thought it would be a funny idea if we could get them to be a part of our engagement shoot. So we approached them and asked and they more than happy to accept! Super nice people. I seriously can't make this stuff up
The photos were posted to imgur, where they've been viewed by over 6000 people.

Awesome and Hernandez had already spent much of their day doing a 'Forrest Gump' themed photo shoot, so why not throw in some black metal chic?
indy100 wonders if their first dance be to Coldvoid track 'Deep Sadness'? The couple might also choose tracks 'Ego', 'Victory & Defeat' or 'Evil Nature'.
