Football – or soccer, as they call it – is slowly but surely improving in the United States.

The national team put in a strong showing at the 2014 World Cup, and players like Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey have excelled in the Premier League.

But there’s a few things that American fans still don’t quite get. Like footy chants. And this video sums that up perfectly. Some Major League Soccer sides even hand out sheets of pre-approved songs for fans to sing, and it shows.

While the West Ham diehards scream “You’re not singing any more!” at their opponents, the New England Revolution supporters politely sing along in time like a high school band.
