Florida governor Ron DeSantis took it upon himself to release a new line of Covid-19 related merchandise—and it involves mocking Dr. Anthony Fauci.
The merchandise line was timed just at the height of Florida’s increased Covid-19 cases as Dr. Fauci provided recent warnings about the pandemic that’s relevant to the state.
On Monday, DeSantis’ campaign crew tweeted about merchandise. Some of those items include t-shirts with the “Don’t Fauci My Florida” slogan, “Love My Gov,” and baseball caps that say “Governor DeSantis, Keep Florida Free.”
DeSantis even has a beer beverage cooler that says, “How the hell am I going to be able to drink a beer with a mask on.”

And Twitter onlookers had some things to say about the interesting choice of slogans on the merchandise.
“The data clearly shows that the non-vaccinated are the ones dying in hospitals from Covid-19. Dear God, you are misleading Floridians just to further your individual political position,” someone wrote.
“I think I am going to throw up now. From a sad citizen of Florida,” added another.

According to the Washington Post, they reported on the potential presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election’s commentary-inducing move, noting that “the stateis reporting daily cases close to four times the national average — 26 new infections per 100,000 residents, the second-highest number in the country. The state’s latest covid-19 death rate is almost double the national figure, and it ranks fourth for current hospitalizations.”
DeSantis continues to put himself in the oppositional space to Dr. Fauci and other health figures urging precautionary measures throughout the pandemic across the country.
Additionally, he continued to dismiss expert advice throughout the pandemic to slow the spread of the virus to keep Florida’s economy moving right along and keep children in schools despite opposing mask mandates.
