Scroll down for full and very NSFW poster
Maybe Ed Miliband should've given this a go last month... Danish political hopeful John Erik Wagner has stripped down to nothing but a cowboy hat and gun holster for an election campaign poster.
The cocksure 52-year-old has been running for local and regional positions since 2005 (with very limited success) but has now turned his attention to the country's general election later this month where's he's hoping to overcome stiff competition.
According to TheLocal.dk, the NSFW posters of the independent candidate have been erected across his native Copenhagen. While perhaps not raising the pulses of passers-by, they have certainly raised a few eyebrows.
After an investigation, city administrators ruled that the posters were permissible as they deemed they would not "disrupt road users' attention".
Wagner's previous stunts include trying to invade the stage at a televised debate in 2013 (in customary cowboy gear) where he decried the exclusion of smaller party members.
His "manifesto" for the 18 June election reportedly includes closing all of Denmark's job centres, changing local election rules and restructuring the country's employment laws so everyone works for six months and then has six months holiday.
The Local reports that he is unlikely to be elected... We can't imagine why. But we're sure he'll be hoping to inch forward in the opinion polls to make sure this stunt isn't in vain.
