Two thirds of experienced drivers would fail a driving theory test if they took it today, according to new research from Churchill car insurance.
More than a third of people tested by Churchill failed the hazard perception test, while half did not pass the multiple choice section of the test. Both parts are taken on the same day and you need to pass them both. After gaining a theory test, you are then allowed to take your practical driving test.
With that in mind, we've recreated part of the multiple choice version of the test using sample questions from data from the Driving Standards Agency provided by Churchill - you need 9/10 to pass.
Please note: it's not a perfect recreation as the actual test has 50 questions and you will need 43/50 to pass
