Olivia White / @HouseofWhite
Olivia White, the author of the blog House of White, shared a story this week about body image that has since gone viral.
In a post about parenting, and post-baby body changes, White said she had a change of heart with regards to one photograph that she initially avoided sharing online.
The Melbourne blogger captioned the photo;
I didn't post this photo while we were away because I hated how my stomach looked, as much as I try to be self confident and be positive about my appearance, it's not just a switch and one day you're completely 110 per cent okay with yourself.
She continued;
It's a daily thing, and you have good and bad days... But you can't stop, especially when you have little eyes watching you.
You just need to keep reminding yourself everyday that you're amazing no matter what anyone else or your own brain tries to trick you into thinking,
This is a beautiful moment between my daughter and I, a memory I want to treasure forever and nothing can ruin that.
The photo of White and her 22-month-old daughter Teddy was shared on Tuesday.
On the following Monday White posted another photo, apparently taken the same day, to thank Instagram users for their positive response to her highly personal post.
Let #takethedamnphoto be your social media mantra, just like these parents:
