Wheel of Fortune contestant's simple mistake costs her $1 million prize

Wheel of Fortune viewers have been left screaming at their TVs after a contestant's simple mistake cost her a one million dollar prize.

Micki was just three letters away from completing a puzzle in the “Thing” category, with the phrase reading: "A ROARING FIRE IN THE FIRE _ _ A _ E.”

However, despite the answer obviously being fireplace, the Louisiana local decided to pick the letter 'S', which sent the crowd up-in-arms.

In the same episode, a contestant named Khushi, lost a trip to Antigua by one letter.
