Money Heist, one of Netflix's biggest TV series, has dropped the first part of its fifth and final season and fans have been left feeling “emotional” over the “intense” events that unfolded in the new episodes.

In season five, we are placed right back among the action as the Professor has a nail-biting showdown with Sierra and the rest of the team remain “shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours” as they continue to battle for survival and complete their mission.
With just five episodes available – the second volume is dropping later this year on December 3 – people were already binge-watching the show and sharing their feelings after viewing the entire thing in one sitting.

Though people didn’t have the same appreciation for antagonist Arturo and were annoyed at the fact he made it through to the show’s final season.

Elsewhere, many are still not over the death of former heist member Nairobi from the previous season and expressed their sadness as she understandably wasn’t featured in the new season.

Meanwhile, many fans couldn’t get enough of the action and were not happy to learn that the final five episodes will not be released until December 3 - three months away from getting their next and final Money Heist fix.

In a statement about the new series, Álex Pina, the series creator said: “When we began to write Part 5 in the midst of the pandemic, we felt that we had to change what was expected from the 10-episode season and used every tool we could to create the sensation of a season finale or series finale in the first volume itself.”
He added: “We decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre, putting The Gang on the ropes.“In Volume 2, we focus more on the emotional situation of the characters. It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure.”
The show is one of Netflix’s biggest earners, with its previous season (four) raking in an impressive 65 million dollars, according to Business Insider.
Season five, volume one is now available to watch on Netflix worldwide.
