This is probably the best thing that Wayne Rooney has ever done

In today's most unexpected piece of news, Wayne Rooney actually has a sense of humour.

It started with the Sun on Sunday splashing on a video showing the England captain's former Manchester United team-mate Phil Bardsley apparently knocking him out in a friendly game of 'kitchen boxing'.

Bardsley's wife later insisted that Rooney had only been acting in the video, said to have been filmed earlier this year.

But Rooney didn't seem to be letting any of it affect him as he scored in Man Utd's home clash with Tottenham Hotspur, where he followed up his goal with an excellent celebration.
