The only 7 stats you need to know about Sam Allardyce

Sam Allardyce has left his role as England manager after being secretly filmed by Daily Telegraph journalists discussing how to ‘get around’ the FA’s rules prohibiting the third-party ownership of players.

Allardyce, who has left the position by mutual consent, has been replaced as Gareth Southgate on an interim basis.

Let's remember Big Sam's time fondly, no matter how brief it was, with a brief breakdown of some memorable stats:

1. He lasted 67 days in the job

This makes his time as a permanent England manager the shortest in the role's history.

The only other England managers to have such a short spell in charge were two caretakers.
