Roy Keane went full Roy Keane on an Irish journalist

Roy Keane is a terrifying man, of that there is little doubt.

The latest to feel his wrath was an Irish journalist who enquired the advice Keane would offer to midfielder James McCarthy who looks like he might be out of favour at Everton.

A fair enough question, you might think? Wrong. Keano went full Keano - shaking his head, telling the journalist to "do your homework" and then muttering "nonsense" under his breath after a very awkward exchange:

Journalist:

What advice would you have for him then? Because it looks like he's losing his place in the Everton starting 11...

Keane:

Advice for who?

Journalist:

For James McCarthy. It looks like he's losing his starting place at Everton. It looks like Koeman doesn't really fancy him.

Keane [adopting intense stare]:

I don't know if that's true or not. Did he not start against West Brom?

Journalist:

Yes, but then he got an injury, played wing-back instead.

Keane:

[Pause]

Right... Well, if you know something more than me..?

Journalist:

Well, no, I'm just wondering...

Keane:

Did he not start against West Brom?

Journalist:

I think he was dropped for one of the games.

Keane [adopting more intense stare]:

Did he start against West Brom, two weeks ago? And he was injured in the game against Stoke. If that's a player out of his manager's plans then what about all the other players who started against West Brom?

Journalist:

Well he has been linked with a move away.

Keane:

Well everyone gets linked with stuff.

[Pause]

[More intense staring]

Just do your homework. Obviously, they've kept him on. They've not sold him, have they? I think maybe the manager does like him.

[Long pause]

Nonsense.
